As part of our 50th birthday celebration, my school girlfriends and I took on the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb at night. This wasn’t just any birthday adventure, it was a chance to make more memories with friends who have been by my side for decades.
We began our climb as the sun set, and the city lights started to sparkle below us. The view from the top was spectacular, with Sydney’s iconic landmarks and lights creating a stunning backdrop.
I was actually surprised how unfraid I was. It was a dam high and steep climb, but I managed it well and really enjoyed it. Seeing the inside workings of the bridge and hearing how much effort was put into building it was incredible (yes I actually listed to this commentary for this one).
One of the highlights of the night was catching a spectacular fireworks display. Watching the fireworks light up the sky from the top of the bridge was an unforgettable experience. It felt like the city was celebrating with us!
Climbing the bridge with my friends was the perfect way to mark our 50th birthdays and a night to remember.
