This was THE BEST! For our 40th birthdays, my best friends from school and I took a trip to Sydney. Now, 10 years later, we decided to relive those memories with another weekend getaway. It was incredibly nostalgic to return to the city where we celebrated a decade ago.
Life has changed so much since we were at school together. We don’t see each other as often as we’d like, with marriages, kids, and busy lives taking over. But when we do get together, it feels like no time has passed. It’s like we’re back in high school, living in each other’s pockets.
These girls know me inside and out. Sometimes I feel sorry for them for that. We have so much history and countless fun memories that it’s impossible not to feel completely myself when I’m with them. These friendships will always withstand the test of time.
Our weekend was filled with laughter, reminiscing about old times, and making new memories. I could do this over and over again, and it would never get old. I love these girls to bits and feel so grateful to have them in my life.
