These girls are absolute legends, they make me laugh so hard and are truly the best value friends. We all met during our early working years, and while we don’t see each other as often as we did when we worked in the City and had regular Friday night drinks, we still make an effort to catch up a few times a year.
For my “50 Before 50” challenge, I decided to dive into a new hobby: acrylic painting. So what better way to combine catching up with old friends than by heading out for a Paint and Sip Night at Studio Vino? After all, our history says that our socialising always involves vino.
We had an absolute blast, getting ridiculously competitive about whose painting was the best. It was such a fun night wrapped up with drinks at the Highlander Hotel, making a promise to stay in touch and catch up more often. Since then, we’ve managed a couple more get-togethers. We always have good intentions.
I love how this challenge has helped me reconnect with old friends. It’s amazing how, even after time apart, it feels like no time has passed at all.
