I got a Metrocard and I caught the O’Bahn to the city. Believe it or not, I had never owned a Metrocard before, and I had to Google where to get one! Back in my “public transport days”, we purchased a multi-trip from the local newsagent.
I’ve been on the O’Bahn before, but it was a very long time ago. Thankfully, I had my friend Kelly by my side to show me the ropes because a lot has changed since I last caught public transport. From tapping on and off with the Metrocard to navigating the bus schedules, it was all a bit of an adventure.
Amusingly, after I posted about this on social media, I discovered that we could have simply used our credit cards to tap on and off, or even used an app instead of getting a Metrocard. I guess I’m still behind the times, even when I think I’m catching up! Ha ha.
The ride itself was enjoyable, because I had my sidekick Kelly with me. We had a great time chatting away and catching up on life, as we always do.
