A reflexology session was on my “50 before 50” list, so I booked an appointment with my best friend Leah. We’ve been friends for over 35 years, but this experience took our friendship to a whole new level!
We arrived and were surprised to find that not only were we put in the same room, but the therapist asked us to take off our clothes. After she left the room, we couldn’t stop laughing. Why on earth would we need to strip down for a foot rub? We honestly thought they had mixed up our appointment.
Leah and I have never undressed in front of each other, despite living with each other for years, so this was a first. The funniest moment was when Leah announced she was wearing yellow knickers, and I couldn’t help but say, “Who the fuck wears yellow knickers?” We were in hysterics, with tears running down our faces.
Despite the unexpected start and all the laughter, we somehow managed to relax. The reflexology session turned out to be incredibly soothing. We left feeling rejuvenated, with a hilarious story to add to our 35 odd years of memories.
