Buy a Sports Car

Completed January 22, 2024

For as long as I can remember I’ve had to drive a car that had a practical element to it (I’m sure most can relate). My car has had to transport prams, food shopping, luggage, and endless teenagers. It has been the car we have taken on the road trips to our holiday home, and drove in as a family to the local pubs for dinner.

Well now the teenager has her own car, we’ve sold the holiday house, and I have no intention of needing another pram in a hurry, so it was time to find a car “just for Tam”.

Introducing my little pocket rocket.

I’ve pulled out all the stops! A custom exhaust has been fitted so you hear me coming a mile away, the windows have been tinted as dark as legally possible, she’s got personalised plates, and the back seats may as well not exist because humans struggle to fit in the back at all. They appear to be more of a suggestion than a necessity. On top of that, Aiva has had to give me lessons on how to get in and out of her gracefully without looking like I’m struggling because she’s so low. One of my girlfriend’s related getting into the car as “feeling like a pretzel”.

It took me a while to get my head around being okay with buying her. In fact, I wasn’t even looking properly because it felt “selfish”, but my incredible hubby kept encouraging me and searching for the right one. When he found this one, I couldn’t resist. I looked at her that afternoon and said YES!

I had her for a few months before I made the announcement, because I felt super uncomfortable sharing it, but my beautiful friends encouraged me to “own it”!

She’s impractical, she’s sexy, and I love her to bits!

This car is 100% for me
