I’ve been on Temptation Sailing’s catamaran a few times in the past but never to swim with the dolphins. So, this time, I decided to take the plunge … literally!
Thanks to Aiva and my school buddy, Kreena for joining me on a very brisk Sunday morning. Braving the cold at 8am was no small feat, but we were all up for the challenge. Putting on the wetsuits was quite the adventure in itself, with lots of laughter and awkward shuffling. Despite the chilly air, the water was surprisingly warm.
As soon as we got into the water, we were surrounded by dolphins. They were everywhere! It was an incredible sight and made the early morning start totally worth it. We were told by Temptation Sailing that this was one of the top 5 dolphin encounters they’ve ever had, and it was easy to see why.
Getting down onto the nets for a really close encounter was super cool. We could feel the water rushing beneath us and see the dolphins gliding effortlessly through the waves. It was such an amazing experience to be so close to these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.
A huge thanks to Aiva and Kreena for being the best adventure buddies. This was definitely a morning to remember, and I’m so glad we got to share it together!
