You’ve been living under a rock if you haven’t figured out by now that Haighs speckles are my weakness! Today, Aiva took me on a date to tick a couple of things off my list, and this was one of them. It was extra special because they were making the speckles while we were there!
Haighs speckles have always been my favorite. I’m not a big sweet tooth, but there’s something about the combination of Haighs smooth chocolate and the crunchy, colourful sprinkles that I find irresistible.
We loved hearing the story of how Haighs began and how much they’ve respected the heritage 108 years on. Seeing that they still wrap and decorate the chocolates by hand blew me away. The dedication to quality and tradition is obvious in every bite of their delicious chocolates.
Thank you, Aiva, for such a special day together. It was a wonderful blend of learning and indulging in my favourite treat. Yum!
