Tonight, I checked “buy a Sorrento Pizza” off my list, and it did not disappoint. I first visited this pizza bar on the day my good friends, Kelly and Andrew purchased the business, but I didn’t get to try a pizza then because they were busy renovating, in readiness to open. Now, I’ve come back on their final weekend of trading.
Kelly and Andrew turned Sorrento Pizza into something truly special. They should be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved: great food, great service, a fantastic team, and a wonderful culture. Their landlord needs the space, so they’ve had to cut a deal and say goodbye to what they’ve built. Naturally, I had to try one of these iconic pizzas before they disappear for good.
The pizza was delicious and I wish I had come back sooner. A perfect blend of a crispy, yet chewy crust, topped with the freshest ingredients. Each bite was a testament to the passion and dedication Kelly and Andrew put into their business. It’s a real loss to see them close, but I’m grateful I got to try one of their masterpieces just in time.
