I’ve always loved the thrill of a helicopter flight. However, my daughter and husband have been less enthusiastic about the idea. So, when we travelled to Port Douglas in Queensland, I grabbed the opportunity to introduce them to this experience. After all, what better way is there to see the Great Barrier Reef than from the sky?
The moment the chopper lifted off the ground, the expressions on their faces were priceless, and it just got better as we began our journey over the Great Barrier Reef.

The views were absolutely breathtaking. From above, the Great Barrier Reef is a stunning mosaic of vibrant colors and patterns. We saw beautiful coral formations stretching out beneath us, in shades of blue and green. The water was so clear and I was surprised how much marine life we could see.
While this wasn’t my first helicopter flight, it was a super special experience to share with my little tribe. Seeing their happiness as they took in the spectacular views and experienced the thrill of takeoff and landing was unforgettable. There is nothing like seeing the beauty of the world from a different perspective.
